The new Skilled Occupation List has been announced by the Minister of Immigration and Border Protection.
Nine occupations have been taken off the list and 2 new occupations have been added.
Good news for Accountants, IT professionals and Nurses as their occupations have remained on the SOL as have most of the Engineering occupations.
The 9 occupations that have been removed from the SOL are as follows:
- Dental Therapist ANZSCO 411214
- Dental Hygienist ANZSCO 411211
- Dental Prosthetist ANZSCO 411211
- Dental Technician ANZSCO 411213
- Occupational Health and Safety Adviser ANZSCO 251312
- Environmental Health Officer ANZSCO 234912
- Mining Engineers ANZSCO 233611
- Petroleum Engineers ANZSCO 233612
- Metallurgist ANZSCO 234912
The following 2 occupations have been added to the SOL:
- Audiologists ANZSCO 252711
- Orthotists and Prosthetists ANZSCO 251912
The new SOL will commence on 1 July 2016.
