From 17th January 2018 further changes have been implemented to the lists of eligible Skilled Occupation including occupations that have:

  • been added to the lists of eligible skilled occupations
  • moved between the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) and the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)
  • removed from the lists of eligible skilled occupations
  • Addition and/or amendment of caveats to certain occupations which excludes the use of the occupations in certain circumstances.

 

Occupations Added to STOL

The following occupations have been added to the STSOL:

Don’t forget, those people who hold 457 visas – if you held a 457 visa on 18th April 2017 (or a bridging visa associated with a 457 visa), then special rules apply to you – there may be an exemption to the occupation lists.
